Success vs Success

It was never part of my plans for the future to earn lotsa money and be some atas kia... but that seems so attractive these days... how i wish i can get my own car, earn big bucks, buy new clothes whenever my old ones get dirty (save water no need to wash), travel the world, eat $10 chicken rice instead of $2.50 kuay peng...

Is this really part of growing up? the world seems so enticing, so attractive, so seductive... dang, it's all the media's fault... and i'm gonna be part of this business in the future!! hur hurr...

I typed 'money' into biblegateway.com and i found this verse... It's true, if we get sucked into this money-seeking frenzy, no amount of it can ever satisfy our cravings...

'He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income. This too is vanity'

~ Ecclesiastes 5:10

But God satisfies our needs... Why dunch we all drink of the living water? We shall never thirst again!!

'There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink." For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Therefore the Samaritan woman said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." She said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep; where then do You get that living water? "You are not greater than our father Jacob, are You, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself and his sons and his cattle?" Jesus answered and said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, so I will not be thirsty nor come all the way here to draw." '

~John 4:7-15

This living water ain't seen with our eyes... Note that the woman was asking Jesus what was He gonna draw water with? This living water is eternal life, and when you decide to want to taste the goodness of God, this water springs from within your heart! so you shall never thirst again!!

I believe the water in the well can symbolise the never-ending wants (not needs) we have in our lives... money and stuff like this... it can never satisfy us and we will have to go back for more... but with this living water in you, you shall never have to go back to the well again!!

want some??
