I borrowed this book cos of the Pulitzer Prize it had won... And I wasn't disappointed at all...

Hemingway's style of writing paints a vivid picture in your mind, with sounds of waves-a-splashing and you can seem to hear the character's voice in your head too...

Nobody can write a better story with the main character out in the sea alone about 80% of the story... Human relationships always seem to be something that the plot revolves around in many works of literature.. But Hemingway seems to be able to condense many of his life experiences and lessons with allegorial narrations and personification...

It's amazing how a 128-paged paperback in large print seems to evoke much emotion and thought in me...
