The world has enough food and money to support everybody

And let's take a look at how some in the world are spending money irresponsibly while many others are trying to put food on the table, if they do have a table anyway...

On 20 Nov, the 7-star Atlantis Palm Jumeirah spent US$20 million on it's opening ceremony. In addition to that, Australian superstar Kylie Minogue pocket $4.6 million from her appearance at the event. The entire hotel costs $1.5 billion in construction.

Just today, Yemen (one of the poorest countries in the world) opened a $60 million mosque while many of its own people are suffering from malnutrition.

And in this past week, football club Manchester City launches a $75 million bid for Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. At the same time, Revenue and Customs of UK writes off $40 million of unpaid tax by football clubs in England. All these while there are a million who are unemployed in the country.
