growing pains

must opposites attract? i find it puzzling... mystifying...
it's something i can't control, i hate that...

black is out, and so too is white...
everything is in shades of gray...

down is up to me, up is down to another,
and up and down are nothing but directions...

what is normal what is average?
would ambiguity grant me peace?

lost is in, survivor is out,
but in and out are nothing but positions in reference to boundaries
