Ron's-a-romping

I was left flabbergasted by TNP's front cover today... Whenever footballers take the front page, it's gotta be bad news...

Three Manchester United players, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson were alleged to have employed callgirls, or hookers, or prostitutes or harlots whatever you call them... To make things worst, Ronaldo's the most senior of the bunch... This is the worst behaviour a footballer who's idolised by youngsters all over the world can adopt... The tone set by the journalist was downright awful too... If i were a kid, I would be thinking to myself, 'Crap, if i were to get a callgirl next time, I would try not to be caught so easily'.

It's really sad that what was once considered immoral is now a norm... according to club rules, the players will not be punished as they have not broken the rules... they did it in their own home and there wasn't a match the next day...

Together with all the doping scandals that are flooding the athletics now, the world of sports is in real need of a genuine hero to stand against the norm and set new standards of morality for sportsmen...
